Fall City Murder-Suicide: Multiple people were discovered shot dead in a “tragic scene” at a home in a small hamlet in Washington state early Monday, according to authorities. Police made the horrific finding after responding to multiple 911 calls of a shooting at the house in Fall City, on the outskirts of Seattle, just before 5 a.m.
Authorities have not yet said how many dead were discovered on the property or whether anyone else was hurt. King County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Mellis only stated that authorities discovered a “tragic scene” and are investigating numerous homicides. He also stated that the deaths were presumably related to a domestic violence incident and that there was no ongoing threat to the community.
“I can say that it’s going to be really a tragic event for the community, for anybody who has any connection out here,” according to him. “It’s going to affect a lot of people.” It was not immediately known whether a suspect had been arrested. The investigation, which the sheriff’s office described as “massive,” was still ongoing, and additional authorities had been enlisted to assist.
“That implies that this is a significant scene that is going to take a lot of expertise, a lot of time,” Mellis told the crowd.
