Miramar Shooting Investigations: On Friday, Miramar police officers responded to a complaint of a gunman armed with a long rifle and were looking for a silver Dodge pickup. Police officers utilized marked patrol cars to restrict the westbound lanes of Miramar Parkway, just west of the Florida Turnpike.
The Miramar Police Department also established a temporary command post on Arcadia Drive and Miramar Parkway. According to police scanner transmission, which has yet to be confirmed by a police department official, cops referred to the suspect as an “active shooter” and asked for backup.
Detectives asked anybody with information on this or other instances to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
