According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), one person was killed and another injured in a head-on accident between a tractor-trailer and a car on Highway 7 in eastern Ontario. It occurred Wednesday, sometime before 1:30 p.m., on Old Brooke Road, near Anglican Church Road, between Perth and McGowan Lake.
According to a police update issued Thursday, the head-on accident occurred between a westbound automobile and an eastbound tractor-trailer. It happened in the eastbound lanes. The automobile was driven by a 22-year-old man from Ashton. According to authorities, he was pronounced deceased at the spot. Meanwhile, authorities said the truck driver suffered minor injuries.
