Cecilia Manning Missing: According to Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown, the body recovered in a car on Carrollton Avenue in Bennettsville is that of Cecelia Manning, 43, of Dillon. Brown claimed Manning’s car collided with a huge animal. He stated that her automobile was not visible from the road since it had landed in a deep ditch.
Crews located the vehicle while conducting airborne searches of the route. Manning’s family members tell us they are devastated. Manning’s family stated she was last seen leaving Hunter Crossing Apartments in a midnight blue 2016 Nissan Altima on her way to a part-time job in Bennettsville. Manning’s sister-in-law, Shandi Manning, stated that she was a lovely grandma to her two grandchildren and would never leave or forsake them.
“This is not normal for her. Cecelia does not go anywhere for extended periods without anyone knowing. We asked, ‘Do you think she was stressed about anything?’ Even if she was stressed, she would communicate with her family. And she would inform her mother. “For her not to come home to her family, and her babies, and not tell her mother anything is not normal,” said Shandi Manning.
Two investigators from the Dillon Police Department visited with the Manning family earlier this week to discuss the matter. The detectives informed the family that they were doing everything they could, including working extra shifts, to locate Manning. The officers informed the family that they had reached out to
The cops told the family that they had contacted the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office for aid with the inquiry. “The Dillon Police Department is doing everything they can right now. We believe detectives are working on it. Manning mentioned that SLED is also involved. Manning’s parents, James Lewis and Emma Joyce Manning, have expressed deep concern over what has happened to their daughter.
“It’s kind of challenging. It’s difficult to sleep at night. You know, you take the road up and down. And you’re looking around the woods from side to side. You’re seeing if she had an accident or something similar. However, when you don’t see anything indicating that she went off the road. You’re seeing if she had an accident or something similar. But, when you don’t see any evidence that she went off the road and was injured, you suspect something else happened,” added Lewis.
“All I want is to get my baby home. If you have seen her, please contact us. I mean Facebook, but I don’t care. Simply chat to us. I want my baby to come home safely. Thank you, everyone. “Please pray for us,” Manning urged. If you have any information on Manning’s location, please call the Dillon Police Department at 843-774-0051.
