Hayden Ryel Car Accident: The Dover Fire Department is mourning the death of a member and teammate who passed away in a fiery crash off Interstate 70 on Wednesday. According to authorities, a man died in a single-vehicle incident on Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Kansas, on Thursday. Officers were summoned shortly after 1 a.m. to the eastbound I-70 near the 18th Street Expressway exit. According to a news release, police concluded in an initial investigation that the driver was traveling east on I-70 when they left the road.

Driver dead in wreck as car runs off Interstate 70, catches fire in Kansas City, Kansas
According to the news release, the car caught fire after colliding with an object off-road. Police did not specify what the vehicle struck. The Kansas City Kansas Fire Department went to the area and extinguished the fire. Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased on the scene.
Police have not yet identified the crash victim’s gender or name. No other information regarding the crash was immediately available Thursday morning.
